From the Editors
A classic locking liner with Leathermans Blade Launcher knife deployment mechanism. Durable glass-reinforced nylon handles provide a sure grip for working with the 420 stainless steel blade. Available with a plain edge (model c300) or combo edge (model c301). - Blade Launcher?. No springs required. A little Leatherman ingenuity and the flick of a finger are all that are needed to put the knife blade to work. Customer Response
WOW
Light weight yet durable, this knife can make any man on the job or just puttering around happy to have. The clip is sturdy and the opening of the blade is very smoothe. I purchased this knife for my husband after his first one failed him on the job as a UXO tech. and he has only positives to speak of in response to this tool. Highly suggested for the standard working man who needs a good knife that does not feel the need to spend an arm and a leg on. Besides, it's a Leatherman! At this price there is no way of being wasteful.
Great knife for your pocket
This is a great product and excellent knife for your pocket. Has the serrated edge and belt clip. I'm very pleased with it and highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a basic, well made product
Great knife
I have Every Day Carried (EDC) a small Swiss Army keychain knife for well over 10 years now. I never felt the need to carry a larger knife, now was I willing to spend the money on a nicer knife.
When I bought the Leatherman Surge and carried it while working on projects like my fence, I noticed how about the only thing I used regularly was the one-handed knife. I got this knife as part of a set, not thinking anything of this "free" knife. My original Leatherman PST tool had a rather unimpressive blade on it, so I had a hard time taking Leatherman knives seriously. But I fell in love with this knife and have carried it daily since the day I got it.
The blade cut nicely, it has held up well, and it is really fun to play with. It doesn't just fall open, but it takes a firm flip of the wrist to make the little lever open the knife. It will open if dropped on the floor, though.
Excellent Buy
For the very low price - in fact, at even double the price - this is a good buy. The blade is a sturdy width, sharp and the serrated portion is just the right length. With a little practice, I can open the blade very fast with one hand. BTW, the trick is to use the very tip of your index finger (not the padded underside of the finger) on the little "knob" in the handle, just behind the blade, then give it a hard, quick downward "flick". Takes a few tries to know what I'm talking about, but when you figure it out you'll be amazed at how fast you can open the blade with a satisfying "click" as it locks into position. If you prefer, the thumb stud also allows for one handed (but slower) opening. No complaints! I recommend this knife; and, I'd buy it again.
Great Knife
This is a great little knife it will do whatever you need it to do but if it is lost/stolen/broken you won't be too dissapointed Also the blade launcher mechanismm is a nice feature and makes one handed opening easy is a good knife for the money and I would recommend getting it
